Tea for Two

More eagles. We left for dinner on the "Spit"and stopped to see the baby eaglets. They were both sitting in the nest with Mom. The one is flapping again while his "twin" sits quietly. The restaurant we hope to eat at had a two hour wait, so we went across the street and had a mediocre meal with a great view of the harbor. We walked around and then headed back after seeing an eagle on the beach and another visit to the nest. Homer Spit is just that, a short, narrow piece of land jutting out into the water. It is full of campgrounds, fisheries, marinas, shopping and restaurants. There are strips of boardwalks with businesses and dirt/gravel parking lots. Most of all it is charming and a place you really want to visit.
