We passed through Wasilla this morning and darned if I couldn't see Russia. Anyway it is a bunch of strip malls with lots of fast food and all the major chain stores. You know you're near civilization. There are two interesting stops here. First is the Transportation Museum which has acres of displays with everything from trains to taxis and airplanes to ambulances. It is quite a collection. Further down the road is the Idiotarod Center complete with sled dog rides and tiny puppies to love. We weren't able to spend much time here this trip, but made sure to hug the puppies.
