We are at milepost O of the Alaska Highway in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. The highway was constructed in 1942 and took 10,000 soldiers and civilian workers nine months to complete. It is a ritual to take your photo here when you start the drive. Today we met all our guests and had an information meeting. Tonight we had our first dinner together and got all our trek materials. Tomorrow is the beginning of a great adventure.
