Rain, Rain Go Away

Travelled to Seward today in the rain. It's a shame because it is a beautiful drive along the coast of Turnagain Arm. This is a large body of water with substantial bore tides. Also a good place to see beluga whales, however the whales apparently follow the salmon and there are no salmon yet so...

We arrived safely in Seward and set up camp. I love this place even though our campground is a gravel parking lot on the harbor. The view is great with water and mountains and we had some playful sea otters cavorting right in front of us. We also saw a large sea lion in the surf. Jeff and I walked down to the small boat harbor and watched the halibut fishing charters come in and weigh their catch. Some of the fish are quite large - we saw one gal who caught an 80 pounder.

Had dinner at an excellent seafood place and then walked back to the RV.
