Cruisin' - 1

Part 1 - A perfect day for a cruise. The sun is out and it is crisp, alright it's freezng, but we're sailing anyway. I am bundled up and we head for the small boat harbor with the group. We are taking the Kenai Fjords Tour where we hope to see whales, glaciers and more. It is an all day affair with lunch on the boat and dinner at an island. Jeff took a seasickness pill and slept most of the day, but at least he wasn't naseous.

The first photo shows us passing the campground so you can see the fatastic view we have. Early on we saw several pods of Orcas and the photo shows four fins. Later we came upon some humpbacks and a few were over 50 feet long. One playful juvenile kept breaching which is when they thrust their entire body out of the water and make a huge splash to delight the tourists. I only got photos of the splashes and their backs, but not for lack of trying.

Anyway the scenery is wonderful and we finally got to the glacier.
