Love

It's Thursday so it must be Las Vegas. We drove south from Zion and entered Nevada which earned us another state on our growing map. The ride is very pretty until you get to Vegas and then the traffic and the buildings ,are overwhelming. Each time I come here I say, "I'm not coming back," but I always do. This time the draw is the new Cirque du Soleil show "Love." We actually changed our schedule to work this in as we love Cirque and we love the Beatles so this is a must see.

Our accommodations are at the Oasis RV Resort and it is very Vegas. Big - 700 sites - and pools, waterfalls and lots of rules. After getting settled we make the big mistake of taking a shuttle to The Strip. It took forever, although we met some nice people and we saw the back end of many major hotels. I was frazzled by the time we walked into the Mirage and picked up our tickets. The experience got worse as we decided to grab a quick dinner at the Carnegie Deli. Our waitress couldn't have wasted more of our time and I was a wreck and Jeff was giving me the Glazer look!

In the end the food was good and we got to the show on time. Now here is the question? Was the show worth the trip? YES! It started off slow and after a few minutes they broke into Get Back complete with people hanging on bungee cords who got back to the top. It was quite a spectacle with my favorites being Yellow Submarine, Hey Jude, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds and of course Love. There were trapeze acts, roller skating and trampolines. The clowns were great too. We left covered with confetti and streamers and big smiles on our faces.

Clever Jeff decided we'd take a taxi home after visiting The Venetian and Wynn. Good idea!

Judy,

Assuming I could only see one Cirque this year, do you think you it would better to hop a plane to Vegas and see LOVE instead of CORTEO? (Regardless of the travel expense)
