Good news, bad news, good news, bad news...

So you haven't heard from us in a few days. We haven't had a reliable Internet connection since Fort Worth, but we have mostly made do. Now we have a good connection (more about that later) in Las Vegas, so here we go.

Good news - we have an Internet connection!
Bad news - we have to pay for it, and it went down last night just when we needed it.

Good news - we brought Judy's laptop computer as well as mine.
Bad news - mine died. It has to go back to HP for some TLC.

Good news - we saw the new show called Love with music by the Beatles and under the direction of Cirque du Soleil.
Bad news - we made the mistake of taking the strip trolley to get there. Suffice it say that we felt that the $27 cab ride to get back was a bargain!

Good news - it's hot and sunny in Las Vegas.
Bad news - the air conditioner in the coach (as opposed to the driver's area) crapped out. We sleep with the windows open!

Good news - they are replacing the unit tomorrow.
Bad news - it's going to cost over $1200.

Good news - we have a service contract that covers most of the expense.
Bad news - it's still going to cost us over $400.

Good news - we have onboard plumbing.
Bad news - I broke the valve for the black water tank (that's the one that holds the stuff from the toilet)

Good news - we're getting it repaired on Monday in San Diego.
Bad news - there really isn't any. We are still having a great time!

Thanks for the blog update...I'm postponing entering the 12 step weaning program. Enjoyed my fix.

Tonight my installation as Sisterhood President. Now the real work starts!

Good news: Saturday dinner awaits in San Diego, including Johnny and his family -- and margaritas.
More good news: The temp. should be in the low-to-mid 70's when you get here.
Bad news: You won't see a lot of sunshine here (the season is called "June gloom").
More bad news: The drive from LV to San Diego will probably, except for one short section, be the most boring ride you've ever taken.

Looking forward to seeing you!
