We made it from the Green Mountains of Vermont to the White Mountains of New Hampshire yesterday. Drove along two lane country roads and had lunch in picturesque North Woodstock. We spent the afternoon setting up camp and doing laundry.
In the evening we went to visit friends we had not seen in many years. Ruth and Liviu (Bob) Starer-Stor were fellow printers (back in the day) and we were part of the same consulting group. We had spent many hours together in groups and conferences and really got to know each other well. They live in NYC so it has been a long time since we had seen them in person. Ruth and I are friends on FB so we keep in touch. They have a house about a half hour from our campground so we trekked out there last night for dinner and had a wonderful time. We ate and chatted with them and other guests until midnight and had many good laughs reminiscing about the "old" days. Then we drove home in the pitch black night and luckily did not see any moose or other creatures on the road.
