All good things must come to an end and so this is it! Our tailgunners led out this morning so we could get the car. The tire place called about 8:00 am to say that everything as done. We drove west again to Houston and got hooked up and glad that this ordeal was over. We felt that everything went as well as it could have and a little divine intervention was definitely appreciated.
Everyone arrived safely in Prince George and we got ready for the farewell dinner. This event takes place in a downtown restaurant with good prime rib and a nice salad bar. Jeff and I had prepared funny awards with certificates for the guests and we also had a quiz with factoids about all the places we had visited the last 50 days. Jeff wrote a song about the trip and included a verse about our tire troubles. It all went well and now the trek is officially over.
