Freedom! We slept pretty late and everyone from our group had already left. One great gal left us some muffins and we ate and drove off. We headed south on Route 97, a picturesque country road going through some rolling hills and cute towns. An uneventful drive with a stop at a rustic cafe where we sat outdoors and had lunch. For the first time in weeks we saw cattle grazing and bales of hay. The bird in the photo is a killdeer.
Late afternoon we rolled into Cache Creek and found a campground for the night. Tomorrow we have reservations in Whistler and that begins our vacation on our own.
