Another sunny day and we sleep in and do some chores. In the afternoon we drove into town to visit the famous Stanley Park. It is one of the largest city parks in North America and very beautiful. We decided to take a horse drawn trolley ride and it was a good tour. One hour in the park with a knowledgeable driver and strong horses makes for a fun time.
Our ride went around most of the park and we saw the harbor, statues, a rose garden, playgrounds and very large trees. Later we went to the Vancouver Aquarium, which is in the park, and we viewed a Beluga whale and her five week old baby. We also saw a dolphin show, but these were Pacific White Sided Dolphins and not the Bottlenose we're used to seeing. Also saw sea otters, lots of fish and an Amazon Rain Forest exhibit. It was all lovely, but we are getting toured out by now and have seen so many sea creatures in their native habitat.
Decided to eat dinner in and Jeff grilled lamb chops and a salmon steak for me. It was so relaxing to sit outside and enjoy some fresh air. Later Jeff found a Criminal Minds on TV that he had never seen so it was a good evening.
