The Heather on the Hill

I'm taking an ecology course at OLLI and we visit an interesting place each week. Here I am at Spring Island on the nature trail. Didn't see many animals or birds, but it was a nice walk and lots of information about our lowcountry.

Masquerade

Hok Choi! That means Good Luck or Happy New Year or something in Chinese. Anyway we enjoyed the holiday at a fun party with great food and authentic looking costumes. We've never met an opportunity to dress up that we didn't like.

On the beach in Hilton Head with cousins Terry and Marilyn, and brother Rick. They all came south to escape the cold winter and snowstorms. We provided sun, fun and food. Here we are at Coligny Beach checking out the ocean. In downtown Bluffton at a tacky gallery and enjoying a stroll at beautiful Palmetto Bluffs. Not bad considering they were escaping about 15" of snow in Chicago and New Jersey.

Happy Trails To You...

Jeff and I went horseback riding in Sea Pines, Hilton Head Island. They have a large nature preserve and a private stable that offers trail rides. Lots of fun on a beautiful, sunny day. My horse is Trigger and Jeff rides Cajun.

La Cucaracha

Here we are in sunny Mexico. A week at our favorite place, the Aventura Spa Palace where we eat, drink and get massages and sun. We took a trip to Tulum to see the ruins and ate and fed the fish in our lagoon.

Happy Birthday!

Today is Ziggy's 13th birthday. She's a "bark mitzvah" but we are not going there. Here are some photos of the "Zig" over the years ending with her portrait today. We have enjoyed every day with Ziggy including over 45,000 RV miles. How many dogs are lucky enough to visit Alaska twice and many National Parks too. Always our BFF.
