Here we are in beautiful Homestead/Florida City, FL. On the way to the Keys and this is the middle of nowhere. We're just below Miami and 125 miles to Key West which is where we're heading in the morning. Today we drove in from the Daytona area and got the new Sun Pass for the FL Turnpike. They have no more toll booths and you either get the pass or they bill you by taking photos of your license plate and add a $2.50 administration charge.
Nothing much to do here except go out to dinner. We ate at the Farmer's Market Restaurant which is a real down home place with good food and very good key lime pie. That's my spoon standing up in the cream of potato soup. Afterwards we drove out to Biscayne National Park (Who Knew?) not to be confused with Key Biscayne, and the county boat ramp. Then a stop at WalMart and a gas fill up. Now we're in for the night with Ziggy and TV.
